The locations near Bombay in the Lonavala and near by hills as circled in the map there were several species located.The tropical region supports a variety of terrestrial and epiphytic orchids.
The next specific location here is the Mahabaleswar hill station were several species were specific to the location.This place houses almost most of the Habenarias, Dendrobiums, Aerides crispum, Oberonias, Erias, Cirrhopetalums and Bulbophyllums.
Similarly the Whole Konkan Belt has Vandas, Rhyncostylis, Acampes,Erias, Porpax ,Aerides , Habenarias, Dendrobiums, Cirrhopetalums spread all over the region.
